Legal action may be taken against companies in Ireland involved in a recent
childcare investigation.
The Irish Independent reports that the parents of at least 20 children caught up in the episode are set to sue the firms for alleged assault.
A probe was initially carried out by RTE and it showed the alleged mistreatment of children in three creches - the Links creche in Malahide in north Dublin, the Giraffe creche in Belarmine, Stepaside, County Dublin and Little Harvard creche in Rathnew, County Wicklow - in its Prime Time programme.
It is believed that these parents have told lawyers to sue the companies that own these creches, while the Health Service Executive may also face legal action amid concerns that it failed to act following news of the RTE probe.
Kathrin Coleman, a senior associate solicitor at Dublin law firm Lavelle Coleman, said: "The images shown on national television were deeply disturbing to our clients, as they would be to any parent of a child that had been entrusted to others."

Will be very interesting to see the outcome on this case as they harmed children and my childs playschool was closed and given a sentance for minor issues, HSE has a lot to answer for and are leaving children upset and people out of jobs
