Every year, particularly in September, parents express concern at the daily weight of schoolbags for children at both primary and secondary level.
The government committee on Children and Youth Affairs is today to hear submissions on the possible effects the weight of schoolbags have on children. The National Parents Council will be making a submission based on a survey they have recently run online amongst parents. Also making submissions will be the National Parents Council Post Primary and Dr Sara Dockrell, Assistant Professor at Trinity College.
