Several famous faces will take part in a new poster campaign highlighting the effect
bullying can have on the lives of young people.
Organised by the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC), the drive is being run with the help of Westlife member and ambassador for the charity Mark Feehilly.
The singer explained he knows from first-hand experience how the impact of
bullying can last a lifetime and was keen to spread the message.
"I thought that if we could involve well known ISPCC ambassadors perhaps people will think twice about bullying or indeed allowing bullying to happen," he said.
Stars taking part in the campaign include Jedward, Saoirse Ronan and Louis Walsh, who will be seen in posters with cuts and bruises to represent the harm that bullying can cause.
Last year, the Childline service - which is open around the clock and provides a chance for young people to talk anonymously about their problems - received over 2,300 calls and messages a day from young people, with almost a quarter of these regarding abuse.

Hi there.
I would just like to let you know that many moons ago I wrote a song called "Who do you think you are" and was lucky enough to have it recorded by the Fureys along with members of the RTE Radio Orchestra.
I noticed recently that it has now been posted on YOUTUBE and has been associated with anti-bullying in the related comments posted.
Although not written with this intent, I feel compelled to write to your Goodselves to check it out on YOUTUBE:The Fureys-Who do you think you are...along with the anti-bullying comments attached to it.
Keep up the great work and thanks a million...
