Hi
We currently live in England and have a 5 year old (Oct birthday) who has been in school for 1 year. We are due to move to Dungannon in 2 weeks time but our house sale in England has fallen through. My husband starts his new job as a Headteacher on 1st Sept so we must move. A family member has offered us a place to stay in Carlingford, Co Louth. If all gets back on track it may only be a short stay before we move north.
Where do I stand legal about our son being in/out of school. I´m loathed to start him, then move him again quickly. However, at the same time don´t want him to miss too much school. I´m also a teacher, would I be allowed to home educate as a last resort?

Any tip, pointers about the school system, enrolment etc would be welcomed

thanks
