hi there, wondering if Irish college [summer] really helps with irish or is many a good time?
my teen needs help pulling up irish grade but not convinced gaeltaecht makes a difference.

The residential Irish summer colleges can be great for teen´s irish but you need to be careful where you send them. My teen daughter went to Colaiste na bhfiann which is known to be quite strict but is great for improving the irish (and my daughter loved it).
Some of the colleges aren´t as strict so not as much Irish might be learned but they can still be great fun for the kids and great for developing their independence.
So choose carefully as they are all quite expensive!
