Hello!
At th young age of 6, Many children would have to go over things for a long time before learning.
If she is behind, just encourage her to read maybe on Weekends/ mid terms? Make it fun and exciting! Best of luck

Hi all,
My daughter is 6 she is in senior infants in gael scoil.
following the parent teacher meeting she has giving me extra english work to do with my daughter as she said her reading is below average. I am told to spend no more than 15 mins doing her reading but at the end she still hasnt learned anything she keeps forgeting the words. Has anyone experienced this? what can i do? i feel its because the main focus in school is the irish but teacher seems to think thats not the case.

any opinions?
