What age are children accepted to primary school?           reply

Hi All

I am new to this so would really appreciate any advice!! My daughter turns 2 in August. Most of the primary schools enrol in Jan for the following Sept from what I can see. I have some conflicting info as I have heard that the child must be 4 for at least 3 months before they can be enrolled in school....is this true?

Thanks

it really depends on the school some will take your child as long as the child is 4 by September some will have a cut off point where you have to be 4years by May and there are some who are so desperate that they have taken the child in October when the child turned 4years..... it really depends on how many children want a place in your chosen school then they start with the eldest and work down
