no you wouldent use 15 a day petrol.but at the end of the day to be minded in parents home is around 8 euro.for 1 child.so its probably 35 a day.with maybe 15 a week added on for petrol.its up to the minder.if they would charge for petrol.most would

hi lottie.i think u got that wrong.it should be min wage in parents home.and 5 euro onwards in minders home.

Hi
I think 40 euro per day is very high for after school care i would say 25 is a more realistic price and 40 per day for holidays . I don´t think you would use 15 euro per day on petrol .

Hi I am in rivervalley beside the holyfamily. I have three kids of my own one of which is in the holy family. I am available for after school pick up. I also drive so if its another school that is no problem. I would charge 20 half day and 35 full day.

hi again.i forgot to say.petrol costs could be covered.it depends on where ur minder is coming from.also if the child is looked after in a minders house.that isent with in walking distance.then yes petrol costs would incur

so 40 for 4.5 hours approx?
I am getting mixed pms, some for 25 some for 40! I am lost, first time looking for childcare person outside family so I dont know what I am supposed to pay.
I am willing to pay whatever the standard rate is and more for the right person but I am really confused with the quotes.

Thanks all who replied.
I am much more informed now, I think rule of thumb seems to be that if I need the minder to drive to collect my son etc then I cover petrol, I would only look for a local minder as I dont want tobe covering travel costs for someone to get to me, which I am told is fair.
I think I have a fair idea of the standard rate for school term and holiday term now, so thanks for all the replies.
I have a few contacts now and am very positive.

hi there around 8 euro an hr.maybe 40 for the day.but u will also have to take into concideration the minders petrol usage.some might take 40 a day.others slightly more.to cover petrol costs.
