Special Needs Cutbacks

I am just wondering why there isn´t more fuss about cutbacks to supports in special needs in our schools? The fight is often left to parents of the kids involved and to the schools. I have a friend who has a special needs kid. The school has been brilliant but each year the Department is cutting back more and more in the supports. The school has been stretching the support as far as possible and keeps making the case but there have been cuts across the board and more cuts each year, it seems. I have read a few items on the newspapers about schools highlighting the issue but it is really something that as parents we should all highlight. Rant over.
