I think suggest is a good word youv used...
my feelings are unfort theyre always someone cheaper and more expensive but dont be afraid to point out to parents what you offer small numbers, safety, qualifications insurance etc....I dont go down the route of saying well she blah blah negative points...if parents can afford me great, if not always next family around the corner.
it does depend on your location, supply n demand of childminders vs childcare needed etc

-----------------------------------
P.s. Regarding rates I would like to suggest the following:

Childminder´s Home:- up to the childminder really but €5+ per hr for one child, €7+ per hr for 2 children, €10+ for 3 (siblings) etc. along with food, nappies, wipes etc.
Early drop offs/school runs/After-school activities should be charged extra

Children´s Home:- Minimum wage per hr for one child, €10 for 2, €12 for 3 or more children or flat daily rate (depending on hours and number of children) but would think a minimum of €45+ for up to 5hrs to make it worthwhile for the childminder

Early starts/school runs/after-school activities/house work/cooking should be charged extra or taken into hourly rate etc..

just my suggestions :)
