Are you secondary or national? Iv had two national school teachers and alot of unpaid hols but I couldn´t justify secondary unless they covered June at least as my own kids in school and consider it working time. For that money I would expect insured environment for your kids protection, first aid etc.

I’m looking for some advice on childminding rates please.
I have a 18 month old and a second baby on the way. I’m a teacher and our childminder works term time, with some additional hours during holidays. The current rate is €5 per hour but this will increase to €6 per hour from Sept. I drop to the childminders house and supply everything in terms of food, nappies etc.
We have recently been discussing the second baby and the minder has mentioned €5 per hour. So the rate for two children will total €11 per hour, this equates to almost €1500 per month for the hours we need. We are based in South Dublin.
I’m wondering if it’s normal to get a discount for a second child? If so, approximately how much should I expect to pay for two?

Is she registered ?
