RTE fitness show seeks teenagers           13/06/2011 14:09 - Miscellaneous ----------------------------------- Ultimate Street Challenge
RTE Young People’s Programmes and Tyrone Productions are looking for ten teenagers to take part in the Ultimate Street Challenge this summer. The teenagers will live and train together and the streets of Dublin will be transformed into their urban gym. Karl Henry (Operation Transformation) and Bernard Dunne will coach the challengers and work to improve their general fitness levels. Karl and Bernard will set a series of adventure challenges that the teenagers will have to complete each week. The challenges could be anything from abseiling from the top of a football stadium to a mountain bike race in a shopping centre. We are looking for 16 year old boys and girls with a basic level of fitness who are keen to test themselves. Each week Bernard and Karl will eliminate one of the teenagers until just four remain. They will compete in the final to become the Ultimate Street Champion.
More information and an application form is available from the website here:

The show will be a great way for the selected teenagers to raise their level of fitness and train with experts who will encourage them to lead a healthier lifestyle. If you know any 16 year olds who would be interested or if you could pass this information on to any groups you work with it would be much appreciated. Also if you could put this information up on your facebook, website or blog it would be brilliant.
