I mind a child age two from 8.30 to 7.15 four to five days a week. I get €130 a week. I will be taking on their second child of six months soon for the same hours. I don´t know what to charge for two children in my own home.A little worried also as i never seem to get paid on time always days late or the next pay day.

re : Price for two children in minders home. 08/02/2014 10:04 - How Much Should I Charge or Pay ----------------------------------- Charge €5 an hour for one child, but you´v a long day so perhaps a daily rate would be more affordable for the parent. Some say €8 here for two kids but I do €7. You are being underpaid in my opinion. Im in the country and got €30 a day for same age 9-4pm (they were always late in morning and early in evening). now is your chance to draw up a contact with the family. Say youv taken a course and this is the way you were taught to plan meetings etc. Put in place the last evening worked for the week is pay day.
re... : Price for two children in minders home. 08/02/2014 15:48 - How Much Should I Charge or Pay ----------------------------------- a parent wouldent like it if their boss said.we will pay you next week.i had that problem also.i had to chase them for my money.sometimes they took a friday of.last min thing 10 mins before i would be picking the child up from school. never got paid for the days they decided to take of.other times they sometimes got a grandparent in for a day.no pay for those days either.no pay for when they took a holiday. not all parents are like that.most others i have worked for.have been brilliant.
