Music Teacher available for July provision in Cork city and surrounding area and Laois 16/04/2013 22:00 - Primary Tutors & July Provision (Locality: Cork) ----------------------------------- Hello!
I am a music teacher currently working in the Cork city area and I available for the July provision. I have a MSc in Applied Music Psychology in which I primarily focused my research on neurodevelopmental impairments, including autism, and music. Specifically, I studied the ways in which people with autism process and experience music, as well as the strong affinity that many such individuals have for music. Since completing my studies I have been teaching music to young children, many of whom have special needs. I have worked with children with special needs on several occasions, both as a teacher and a carer.
I am enthusiastic and outgoing, but also sensitive to the difficulties that are inherent in autism. I would be delighted to work with someone who has an interest in music, and to socialise during the month of July.
I am willing to travel around Cork city and surrounding areas, and I could also travel to the Laois area.
