I am also a qualified primary school teacher with three years teaching experience and I hold a psychology degree. My background means that I am very familiar with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and teaching approaches such as TEACCH, ABA and PECS. I recently spent a month on placement in a special school for children with ASD, and am currently on placement in a children’s service under psychologists whose main role is the identification of ASD and providing training and support to children and families with a diagnosis of ASD.
