All the schools in my locality seem to be reopening on Monday.

It would have been great for the children to have been off on the day after Halloween but they survived if they weren´t.

We contacted the Department of Education in the last couple of weeks and were advised that the calendar was likely to become available early in the new year. As soon as it becomes available we will put it up on the site.

re : Is return date after mid-term standard in all schools or are there differences? 29/10/2010 14:17 - School holidays / Inservice ----------------------------------- Mid term breaks for Halloween, christmas and easter are agreed for all schools between the department of education and the teacher unions so most schools should be reopening on Monday.
Schools do have some additional days which they can take during the course of the year and we have heard of a few schools who are using one of these days on the monday because of Halloween being on Sunday. We have also heard of a secondary school who sent out a text during the week to parents advising that school wouldn´t start until 11am on Monday.

Halloween should be on a Monday so perhaps the break will be 31st October and the first 4 days in November?
