Invitation to participate in research on childcare and child well-being
Invitation to participate in research on childcare and child well-being           07/06/2013 11:36 - Announcements -----------------------------------
How do parents and guardians make decisions about childcare arrangements? Researchers in NUI Maynooth are looking for parents like you to participate in research that seeks to gain a better understanding of the everyday experiences of today´s families.
We are interested in how parents make decisions about childcare and how this is informed by concerns about child well-being.
The research will take place during June and July 2013 and has been commissioned by the Family Support Agency in conjunction with the Irish Research Council. As well as talking to parents (about 30 in all) about their everyday experiences, we will also analyse data that has been collected as part of a national study on childhood (Growing up in Ireland).
All those who participate will be entered into a draw for a 100 euro one-for-all voucher.
If you’d like to participate or just find out more about the project, please contact Delma Byrne (Delma.Byrne@nuim.ie) on 085 7228237 or Catriona O’Toole (Catriona.OToole@nuim.ie) on 086 8325465.
All participants will remain anonymous and information obtained will be treated with the utmost confidence.
