Information Sessions on Junior Cycle Reform           24/05/2013 08:07 - Announcements ----------------------------------- Information Sessions on Junior Cycle Reform The Minister for Education and Skills, Ruairí Quinn T.D., together with Áine Lynch, CEO of the National Parents Council Primary, is inviting parents of primary school pupils to attend information sessions on the new Junior Cycle in various locations around the country. Minister Quinn encouraged parents to attend the evening to learn how the changes will impact on their children’s education. He said: “We are reforming the Junior Cycle to better reflect the skills and knowledge that students need nowadays. I understand that there may be some concerns about how this will impact on pupils currently in primary school and so I would encourage all parents to attend these free sessions, to see how their children will benefit from the changes and to get answers to any questions they have.” These information sessions are taking place in June in Cork, Dublin, Donegal, Galway, Kerry, Limerick, Longford, Mayo and Monaghan.
