If you have a contract it´s depends what you have in it.
Usually if the Childminder is sick it´s an unpaid day unfortunately.
Unless the family are sound and just pay you anyway

Ok so if the mother says she will be taken Friday of next week to stay at home with her child ,does she pay me full day or pay nothing.

The way I work, if I need to take an unplanned day off I don’t expect to get paid but if a child doesn’t come for a day that they should have been with me I still get paid.

If you have a contract, it depends on its terms. Usually, if the childminder is sick, it’s an unpaid day, unfortunately. Unless the family is kind enough to pay you regardless.
