Cost of childcare during school holidays 18/07/2017 16:23 - How Much Should I Charge or Pay (Locality: Meath) ----------------------------------- Just wondering what the normal daily rate would be for the summer holidays. I know that after school care days are generally €5 per hour. Do most people charge a daily rate? Child is 6.

I charge 5 euro per child, a hundred euro per day, I provide all food. I thought it sounded a lot when I quoted the parents, but the were happy with it, I suppose the hours are long. Hope this helps. Alot childminders are underpricing based on what they offer which makes it a difficult market for some others. Also alot families turn to young students in the childrens home or family members who are off for the summer months who are cheaper than the registered childminder and combine with summer camps.
