Hi. I’m just wondering about childminding rates in Cork. I am currently looking for a childminder for my two girls. It will be from 8:50 until 3:50, school term only. The minder will have the two year old for the full 7 hours and the 4 year old (starting junior infants)for between 1.5 to 2.5 hrs of those 7. Should I pay a flat hourly rate of say €8, which would cover if my older daughter was sent home sick or had a day off school or pay an overall daily/weekly wage? I will provide food for 2year old and minder will provide snacks/fruit/yoghurt after school. It is my first experience paying a minder. There seems to be a big difference in rates out there so any advice would be much appreciated 👍👍
