thats a very low rate, your minder has to travel maybe has bus fares
norm is 10euro /12euro .sick days ! do you mean the minder is sick or your
children.if your minder is sick you dont pay.you do if your children are sick.
holidays you take you pay.minder takes holiday you dont pay.
its always better to pay a minder the going rate as they tend to stay
with you longer and your children are not disrupted and upset by minders
leaving for better money. whats best for the children ....

Hiya,
I´m looking for a child minder to come to my home to mind my two children for 3 days a week. Two questions:

1. What is the norm with regards sick days and holidays for the minder? Is the expectation that I would pay the minder for any sick days and holidays?

2. I´m considering offering €7 per hour cash. Based in Dublin. Is this about a fair rate for minding two children in our home?

Thanks,

hi there
the normal rate.in your home.for 2 kids would be 10 euro an hour.in minders home its 8 euro an hour.bank holidays if minders works mondays should be covered.also any holidays you take sick days. and last min cancellations should be covered.
