Hi there,
I´m just enquiring as to childcare costs for primary school..1 child from 1.40pm to 6.30pm 3 days a week and one day 2.40pm to 6.30pm. Previously he was in playschool and I was paying €40/day and €50/day for days off/midterms.

Is the childminder registered/insured? Who supplies food/does she use her car? 50e a day for a preschooler would be at the very higher end of the scale (although she did reduce by 10e for ecce hours).
Afterschoolers are difficult to price, I charge 10e an hr plus add food/collection charge but its minimum hours iv them. Average is 5e an hr in an insured childminder. Have you asked the childminder her afterschool rate?
