I have a lovely child-minder who minded my child from approx. 9 until 3.30 four days a week at a rate of €35 a day. She will now be minding my 8 month old and my 3 year old, I provide all food and has asked for €60 a day. She also minds another boy 2 days a week and a little girl 1 or 2 days. I don´t pay for bh, sick days or holidays. Is this rate reasonable or is it a little high, hate speaking to child-minder about rates as don´t wanted to be bargaining with someone when it comes to my kids, however don´t want to be ripped off.

Most childminders get paid for bh´s and sick days etc so your lucky on that one!

re... : Advise pleeeease - Is this too much? 07/09/2013 16:17 - How Much Should I Charge or Pay ----------------------------------- I agree with both points mentioned: I always read posts and then decide my reply. 1) €60 does appear high however 2) no BH, days kids off etc I childmind school term for a parent and she´s on a great deal as I dont get paid for the holidays. And there is alot of holidays when you add it up. I would def review my terms if I was asked again to childmind fulltime term time only.
