To have a career in childcare the qualifications you
need to work in a childcare setting is FETAC level 5. The qualities you
need are patience, communciations skills, honest, garda vetting, good team worker, reliable.

The minimum Qualification needed for childcare is a FETAC Level 5.
To work in a childcare setting you must have Experience with working with children you also have to be hard working,reliableand flexible, hope this is some help to you.

As far as i am aware you need a full FETEC Level 5 Cert in Childcare.
Experience is useful and important. Other useful qualities and skills would be
flexability and reliability. Also having good communications skills are important.

The minimum qualification required in a childcare setting is a full FETAC Level 5. Other useful qualities would be flexibility, understanding, empathy and generally a fun loving personality helps a lot!!

Hi There
I am at present studing childcare FETAC Level 5. From my knowledge from doing this course you need your FETCA Level 5 and your Garda Vetting.You should have your First Aid full or basic first aid. You need to be patient, have good communication skill´s to work with others and also to talk to parents.
