Half the excitment of the first day of school is bringing in your new schoolbag on your back. I would be inclined to send her in with her bag, a pencil case and a small snack. She won´t need anything else on the first day.

Relax and celebrate the occasion of your little one starting school.

Did the school give you any information sheet? You could try leaving a message on the school phone but I think you should give her the bag on the first day and it doesn´t really matter what is inside it. The most important thing is to label everything with your child´s name as otherwise the poor teacher will have a job to decide who owns what. Good Luck.

Hi

My daughter is starting school in 2 weeks time and I don´t know what she needs to bring with her on the first day! She has no schoolbooks as they will be provided by the school and she will finish early for the first few days so there is no need for a lunchbox! Should I leave her schoolbag at home?
I know it sounds silly but I don´t want her to be the odd one out on her first day

Thanks for that, it sounds like the right thing to do. Cheers!
