the average rate for 1 child to be minded in the childminders home is 5 euro per hr as they have the option to take in other kids if they wish, ur daughter is only being looked after for 9 hrs a week so what ur paying is more than fair n u would certainly get someone else that would only charge 5 euro an hour, hth :)

She collects her from school DROPS her home and minds her for three hrs for 3 days a week. I´m sure she either gives her snacks or dinner too. €70 not excessive. You sound like many parents I´ve come across in the last few yrs. " sure your at home, it´s a handy few bob for you. What else would you be doing" attitude.

70 is reasonable, works out about 23euro per day.
Thats for pick up, snack and 3 hours supervising and minding.
I think that is fair rate?

Thank you for your reply.
I´ve had 3 pm saying that 70 euro is a bit much.
I really don´t know what to do. It´s not an absolute necessity for her to be minded but does make my life earlier.

Hey!
I would expect to pay approx €75 per week for three days pick up and meals. €50 was a bargain - if your child is very happy there, i would pay the extra, she probably was told by others she was undercharging you which prompted her to raise it.

Hi all and thanks for your help in advance
My daughter is being minded by a parent of a girl in her class.
This lady had twins and also another daughter in a class above.
She brings my daughter to her home Monday Tuesday and Fridays from 2-30 till 5-30 when she drops her literally around the corner to my house.
Up till today I´ve been giving her 50€ for the week . today she tells me she can only continue if I give her 70€
Is 50€ fair or was I giving her too little and is 70€ excessive ??
What do you guys recommend. Let me know. Thanks again D

Really, that´s gas, I was looking for quotes earlier and was getting way above that! Its very hard to know what is the average rate. I would go with your gut and if your daughter is very happy with her, maybe its worth it.

God i wld love to get €50 for 3 days, i charge 5€ an hr and i think thats very good, i collect them and feed them a dinner.
