Flight times vary depending on location. Dublin to Athens is 4 hours. Dublin to Corfu, Rhodes or Crete is around 4.30hrs. You can fly direct to the islands or fly to Athens and travel down and take a ferry from many of the port towns.
The weather is hot in the summer months with June and September an ideal time to travel. Average July temperatures are very hot with around 27/33 degrees, with 10 hours of sunshine, little rain and average 24 degree sea temperature.

Located in the Aegean Sea, Rhodes is known to be the most visited of all the greek islands. It’s medieval city and ancient towns are filled with historical relevance of famous eras including the Byzantine, Ottoman and Trojan wars.
Most visitors hit the beaches as many are awarded with the environmental standard Blue Flag. If the crowded summer resorts get too overwhelming there are plenty of day trips or guest houses available near smaller secluded beaches and towns. For kids, there is water parks (Faliraki), an aquarium, and a Butterfly Valley in the beautiful and lush forest on the island.
