Ade Byrne
Private Speech and Language Therapist
Ade is a fully qualified Speech and Language Therapist with current membership of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT). Ade graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor Degree in Social Science in 2001. In addition she received a Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Limerick in 2005.
Experience:
Over the course of her professional education, Ade has gained a substantial amount of experience working with paediatrics with varying communication difficulties. Ade has previously worked with children in the community setting in the HSE and with children presenting with Specific Speech and Language Impairments (SSLI) in a Language Class. Within these roles Ade has liaised closely with the child and his / her family and other health care professionals to develop holistic therapeutic goals in her treatment of communication disorders of varying severity and complexity. Ade has significant experience in running talks for parents and other professionals on the different areas of speech and language.

Ade is trained in Hanen "
It Takes Two To Talk" programme and the
Picture Exchange Communication Programme (PECS). In addition, she has attended
Michael Palin Parent Child Interaction (PCI) training for young children who stammer. She also attended training on
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBI) which focuses on teenagers who stammer.
