Why We Love It
This pasta dish would make a delicious dinner you can then use the leftovers to make lunch the next day. Either way, it only takes about 15 minutes to make!
Tuna is a great source of protein and Omega 3 fatty acids which can help boost concentration in school and reduce the symptoms of asthma since it has anti-inflammatory properties.
Peas, even frozen peas, have high nutritional value and is a source of protein, beta-carotene, calcium and magnesium!
What You'll Need
2 Tbsp x Olive Oil
2 x Garlic Cloves
½ x Onion
1 x Cup of Cream
1 x Cup of Frozen Peas
425g x Canned Tuna in Oil
100g x Sundried Tomatoes
2 Tbsp x Sundried Tomato Purée
1 Tbsp x Chopped Parsley
2 Tsp x Capers
350g x Fettucine Pasta
Grated Parmesan

Boil water in a saucepan and add salt and pasta. Cook pasta until al dente then drain and toss with one tablespoon of olive oil.

Crush the garlic and chop onion. Heat one tablespoon oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry onion for for 2 minutes or until soft. Add garlic and cook for another 1 minute.
Stir in the cream and the sundried tomato purée, then add the drained tuna and the peas. Allow to heat for 1-2 minutes.

Stir in the parsley, sundried tomatoes and the drained capers.
Add the pasta and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir until the pasta is heated through.

This dish can be served in a thermo flask as a hot lunch or can be made into a cold pasta salad.
