Why We Love It

Romaine lettuce is a super source of Vitamin A and has dietary fiber, iron, magnesium, calcium, and vitamin B6.

While parmesan cheese isn't exactly healthy, it does provide a good source of protein, calcium and B12 and it's delicious!

Add some hot sauce such as tobasco to give the salad an extra burst of flavour that will also boost your metabolism!


What You'll Need


1 x Head of Romaine Lettuce
1 x Handful of Croutons
½ x Red Onion
Freshly Grated Parmesan
Dressing:
4 Tbsp x Olive Oil
2 x Tbsp White Wine Vinegar
2 x Cloves of Garlic
1 tsp x Worcester Sauce
1 tsp x Dijon Mustard
2 tbsp x Lemon Juice
Salt & Pepper to Taste






Method


For the dressing, blitz the garlic in a blender until properly minced. Add the rest of the dressing ingredients and blitz again until the mixture is well combined.


Toss the lettuce, cheese, croutons and dressing together in a large bowl.


Optional


You can add a dollop of mayonnaise to make the dressing more creamy or use greek yoghurt instead if your child has an egg allergy.


Add cooked, diced bacon or chicken fillets to the salad to make more of a meal of it!
