Coláiste na bhFiann aims to cultivate a lifelong love of the Irish language in young people. The courses provide a fun and dynamic environment for these young people where they can use and improve their Irish language skills. Coláiste na bhFiann courses create a structured space for young people to use the language in a real way, making it relevant to their daily lives.
Each course provides a combination of formal and informal learning with an emphasis on learning through activity, while letting the young people explore their interests through the medium of Irish. While these courses are an excellent place to use and improve language skills, they also offer the young person a place to become more confident, more independent, to enhance their social skills and to build a network of friends from all over the country with similar interests.
Coláiste na bhFiann is for parents who want their children
to embrace the rich culture of our national language
to know that Irish is a living language and not just a school subject
to have the opportunity to improve their confidence among their peers in a social setting
to have a safe space to pursue their interests with other like minded young people
to gain confidence in knowing they have unlimited ability when it comes to learning and perfecting language
to benefit academically from attending a course with us
