When €7.50 is been charged for two childern per hour . If it was until the working day starts the next day it would be 14 hours . Thank you

I know creche staff babysit in family home 10e an hr, they get v little work. Often people do €10 an hr but limit it to a set rate say €40/50 but go home afterwards. Students are available much cheaper. If your minding in the family home its minimum wage at least. €7.50 is illegal for that family to pay you. If your in your home, approx. €5 an hr for an insured/registered childminder. Youv given a 50% sibling discount which is alot especially if your offering food.

Revenue are very active in the whole nanny area and its the family ie the employer who´s fined and will need to up the hours worked to min wage/repay any social welfare that the cash nanny may have claimed. Its the reason very few families have nannies at the moment. Ten years ago huge percentage of families had cash nannies as same price as creche/childminder and so convenient. The risk of being caught, even reported by the cash nanny is too great today.
