I am looking for a home based tutor (registered wit the teaching council) for the July provision for a 7 year old boy diagnosed with Autism. He attends the local mainstream primary school and has full resource hours and access to a shared SNA. He is verbal but has difficulty socialising and sensory concerns. I would be looking for someone to work with him on social interaction such as making friends...through social stories, do art with him (he loves art!), play games with him and some help with Maths as he struggles with this subject in school. We are based in the Portmarnock/Malahide area. If interested, please reply with cv.

Thanks Gen.

Hi Gen,
Michelle here. I have nine years of mainstream experience, including three years teaching first class, and including several classes with pupils with ASD. I taught a nine year old boy with ASD in July 2015. We really enjoyed setting goals together, mainly targeted at developing his social skills, and carrying out a variety of activities in and outside his home, to achieve those goals.
As I am fortunate enough to be employed on a permanent contract in the school in which I work, I do not have a CV ready to send immediately. However, if you are interested in contacting me, please do so and I can update and send on my CV as soon as possible.
Best regards,
