While many parents and families are turning their minds to summer holidays, school transport tickets for the new term will issue in the coming weeks.
In some cases, these may be restricted availability of seats on vehicles, so Bus Éireann is urging parents to make their online applications - if they have not already done so.
While the closing date for School Transport Scheme applications was April 29, 2016, late applications are still being processed - and where seats are available – bus tickets may issue once payment or medical card details are submitted.
Requests for payments will be issued in early July, so if you don’t have your application in by then, your child could miss out.
You can apply online at
http://www.buseireann.ie/schooltransport.
Late applications are not guaranteed a seat, but the sooner you apply the better, as tickets start being issued in July.

Hi. We did not apply for a school bus ticket as we were able to drop our son into town. Now due to a change in my work situation that is no longer possible. Can we submit a late bus ticket application.
Regards.
Jarlath Kerans.
