Careers Portal

CareersPortal.ie has an
online points calculator and a
Mobile App which allows students to check what
CAO Points they have achieved, based on their Leaving Cert results. Students also have quick and easy access to the
CourseFinder+ on CareersPortal, which shows the latest available course points information and the points history for all Higher Education and CAO Courses, together with QQI links.
NUI Galway

NUI Galway has set up a designated hotline for First Year students to help ease the transition into third level education. The service will provide an efficient, responsive service to callers and will deal with numerous issues that are of concern to incoming First Year students, such as, start dates, fees, accommodation, registration etc.

Online Results Help Desk will be available from 9am on Tuesday, 13th August till 5pm Saturday 17th August at
www.irishtimes.com. Their expert team of guidance counsellors will answer your results and offers queries when you submit them online.
UCC

UCC will be hosting a live online Q&A sessions for Leaving Certificate students this year. The Q&A session is aimed at those who have just received their Leaving Certificate results and will take place on Tuesday 13th August from10am-5pm. For more information, visit

UL Maths Exam Provides 2nd Chance for Students

The University of Limerick (UL) offer a special entrance maths exam for students who achieve sufficient CAO entry points and satisfy all other entrance requirements but did not achieve the requisite grade in Mathematics (Ordinary or Honours) to enter a science and engineering course.
